Since its launch in 2006, HubSpot has evolved from a simple application to a suite of customer engagement software, to become today the world's leading AI-powered customer platform, and the choice of over 190,000 businesses. Today, HubSpot is announcing the introduction of a new pricing model soon to be implemented to reflect HubSpot's offering and make it easier to purchase, while offering access to the artificial intelligence features included in its intelligent CRM and all its software.

Pricing based on the number of user licenses

As of March 5, 2024, HubSpot is introducing a user license pricing model for all Starter, Pro and Enterprise subscriptions. This change is marked by the abolition of the minimum number of licenses required for Sales Hub and Service Hub, and by the introduction of two new licenses: the essential license and the read-only license.

  • Essential licenses will give users access with modification rights to purchased software, enable them to benefit from the platform's AI products and features, and connect teams to HubSpot's intelligent CRM.
  • Read-only licenses, which are free and unlimited for paid portals, will give users who are not actively working in HubSpot the necessary visibility over software data.

The new pricing model is designed to meet customer needs in a number of ways:

  • It allows them to start with a free account and then expand by including 5 users for the free tools and introducing a single type of user license, the essential license, for the Starter version. HubSpot makes it even easier for companies to accelerate their growth.
  • Customers can pay as they grow , thanks to the new read-only license and the elimination of the minimum number of user licenses required for Sales Hub and Service Hub. This gives them greater visibility over access to their HubSpot portal, and greater control over their overall cost of use.
  • Teams are connected thanks to access to HubSpot's intelligent CRM, provided by the new essential license. Intelligent CRM provides a centralized database that enables teams to better understand the customer journey from a marketing, sales and service perspective.
  • Intelligent CRM boosts team efficiency by unifying data to accelerate workflows and provide more customer context. And with AI capabilities built into HubSpot's customer engagement software, including optimized content creation, revenue forecasting and reporting, teams can generate even more value, faster.

The new HubSpot subscription pricing model went into effect on March 5, 2024 for new customers. There will be no immediate impact on subscription pricing for existing HubSpot customers.

This model has been designed to offer flexible subscription options that grow as businesses grow. It gives customers greater control over their overall cost of use, and helps businesses take their first steps and grow successfully with HubSpot.
