Linkedin: In 2024, the network focuses on education

We explain how Linkedin will become your best ally in enhancing your professional skills.

With only a few weeks to go before the launch of its latest AI-fueled options, the Microsoft-owned platform is powering artificial intelligence in new tools, but this time, as part of the development of Linkedin Learning. We explain how Linkedin will become your best ally in enhancing your professional skills.

What is Linkedin Learning?

LinkedIn Learning is an online learning platform offering a wide range of video courses on a variety of topics, from technology and professional development to creative skills and business. Courses are delivered by industry experts and are designed to help individuals acquire new skills, develop their careers and stay competitive in the ever-changing job market.

Linkedin Learning: coaching tools under development

Also as part of Linkedin Learning, the social network is currently testing a coaching tool powered by artificial intelligence. By taking into account your current professional situation as well as your development aspirations, this new tool will be able to guide you within Linkedin Learning. The aim: to save you time and maximize your chances of success through the network's educational options.

Against this backdrop, Linkedin is seriously considering adding new modules to its tool to enable everyone to follow the training at their own pace.

Regarding the use of Linkedin Learning, the social network explains:

"Watch short, engaging videos in an immersive personalized stream, and learn the skills you're interested in from instructors and experts you trust - without distraction. Along the way, we've integrated quick knowledge checks to assess your progress and series to help you stay motivated."

As you can see, Linkedin is trying to improve the fun aspect of its learning tool, while ensuring that the knowledge imparted is properly integrated.

To take this a step further, Linkedin plans to offer its users courses based on the job offers they consult:

"When you create a job alert, in addition to being notified of vacancies, we recommend apprenticeship courses and professional certificate offers to help you develop the skills needed for the job. When you consult a job vacancy, we recommend specific courses to help you acquire the skills required. If you have access to LinkedIn Learning through your company or as part of a Premium subscription, you can track skills for the job, so we can let you know when we launch new courses for those skills and recommend content on LinkedIn that better aligns with your career goals."

In 2024, Linkedin will, it seems, be following an education-oriented strategy. With its educational tools and artificial intelligence, it intends to position itself as the #1 platform dedicated to job search and professional skills development.
