TikTok lets brands generate avatars using AI

These avatars, inspired by real-life creators or entirely custom-designed, aim to humanize branded content and facilitate its international reach on the platform. "At TikTok, we aim to empower creators and propel their creativity to a global audience through the power of generative AI. Symphony Digital Avatars opens a new path for creators, enabling them to expand their opportunities with brands on a global scale. We want to fuel the creator economy by investing in creative solutions that entertain, spark imagination and inspire action," says Andy Yang, Head of Creative Products at TikTok, on their blog.

Two types of digital avatar are available:

Stock Avatars: pre-produced avatars created with the help of actors, remunerated and authorized for commercial use. Stock avatars enable companies of all sizes to humanize their content with easily accessible international creators (different profiles; over 30 languages).

Customized avatars: designed to represent a designer or brand spokesperson with multilingual capabilities. Creators can leverage their own image to extend their global reach. Brands, meanwhile, can not only create their own customized avatars with their brand's IP, a spokesperson or a partner designer, but also work with designers around the world to help them extend their international campaigns.

Symphony AI Dubbing: TikTok makes it easier to conquer international markets

With a view to enabling creators and brands to communicate with a global audience TikTok also introduced Symphony AI Dubbing, an AI dubbing feature. This global translation tool enables creators and brands to break down language barriers, adapt their content to multiple languages and connect with global audiences. Capable of translating content into 10 languages, the tool automatically detects the language of a video, transcribes and translates the content to produce a dubbed video in the selected language.

Two innovations designed to strengthen TikTok's offering in terms of personalization and reach of content for creators and companies.
