You may have already seen it on some of your followers' accounts, but it's now possible to add up to 5 links in your Instagram bio.

‍Thepoint? To be able to redirect your subscribers more easily to external links, and thus facilitate their conversion. A long-awaited update for many designers who wanted to highlight several of their offers in their bios.

How do you add or put multiple links in your Instagram bio?

Using this new feature couldn't be easier:

  1. Go to your Instagram profile,
  2. Click on the Edit button below your Instagram bio,
  3. Click on Links, then on Add an external link,
  4. Personalize the title of your link for easy access by your subscribers,
  5. Then click on Done in the top right-hand corner.

5 good reasons to use links in your Instagram bio

Focus on the value of using links in your Instagram bio.

1 - A solution for qualifying your prospects

Putting links in your Instagram bio, allows you to further qualify your followers. Visitors to your profile, or your most curious subscribers, will first look at your bio, your feed, your featured stories and then your clickable links. It's therefore important to work on and optimize each of these elements to increase traffic to your profile.

2 - Highlight special events or new products

Links can also be useful for highlighting a physical event, a webinar you're organizing, or a product launch. Your visitors will be able to register and take part in your event without having to leave Instagram, or access the full details of your offers. Links are an effective and essential way of converting your followers into leads.

3 - Grow your contact list

Where it's not always easy to have a qualified list of subscribers who will actually interact with and read your newsletters, introducing the link in your Instagram bio will allow, through your content strategy, to be able to grow your list without the need to perform a sometimes intrusive push to your subscribers.

4 - Maximize your online presence

Links are also an opportunity to maximize your online presence and get your followers to follow you on different media. Whether via your website, your other social networks or events, it's an opportunity to make a difference and get noticed by Instagram users on different channels. Be careful, however, to include relevant organic links to facilitate the user's path to purchase, and don't overuse these redirects.

5 - They're permanent (link in bio)

Unlike the story links recently added by Instagram, bio links are permanent. So you can leave them in place for several months - they'll always be there. This saves you time when redirecting your followers using Instagram stories or via publications with "link in bio".
