Snapchat integrates Chat GPT with the launch of My AI

Snapchat is indeed the first social network to integrate AI into a social media platform. My AI, thanks to Chat GPT, will provide answers to the various questions posed.

While this is a great opportunity for Snapchat to further differentiate itself from its competitors, My AI will only be available to users of Snapchat+, Snapchat's paid subscription.

What will My AI look like?

My AI is represented by a small, purple-skinned character with whom you can interact.

Regarding My AI, Snapchat informs us:

"Snapchat integrates elements of ChatGPT into the new My AI tool can recommend birthday gift ideas for your best friend, plan a hike for a long weekend, suggest a recipe for dinner, or even write a haiku about cheese for your cheddar-obsessed friend. Make My AI yours by giving it a name and personalizing the wallpaper for your Chat."

Snapchat, the first AI user

While Meta and Google are still developing their own artificial intelligences, Snapchat's use of Chat GPT is a real breakthrough in the world of social networking, giving it a head start.

Snapchat, which already has 2.5 million paying subscribers, could see its numbers explode in the coming months.

Clearly, Snapchat has played its cards right. However, the arrival of Meta's artificial intelligence could well defuse Snapchat's plans, particularly if Meta offers cheaper or even free AI, which in short would reduce Snapchat's strategic plan to nothing.

My AI, not yet perfected?

Snapchat is warning us about the launch of My AI, they recently announced:

"Like all AI-based chatbots, My AI is prone to hallucinations and can be made to say just about anything. Please be aware of its many shortcomings and apologize in advance! Although My AI is designed to avoid biased, incorrect, harmful or misleading information, errors may occur. Please press and hold any My AI message to submit your feedback. We look forward to hearing about your experience with My AI."
